Vacationers beware of the famous 90 minute Timeshare sales pitch while you are on holidays. These people are highly trained pressure sales people; they can sell an ice cube in the Arctic. Unless you are extremely strong willed, do not get swayed by the lovely gifts that they offer you, just for attending the presentation. You’ll end up spending much more time of your precious holiday than expected and maybe walk away with buyer’s remorse – not to mention a huge mortgage.
Normally timeshare properties are first sold from the developers at the resorts for at least $10,000 and very often even more, depending on the luxury rating of the resort. In fact they can go up to $35,000 and beyond.
If you think this can’t really be happening, here’s a little story for you…
Elizabeth Bathory, the founder of Resort Rental by Owner, bought her first timeshare in exactly that situation. It was a Hilton Resort, 2 bedroom, platinum floating unit. The price was $18,000 US – back in the year 2000.
“The visit to the resort was more than amazing. The luxury and the sheer size of the unit…WOW. Once you’ve stayed at a resort, its hard to go to a hotel. I always felt claustrophobic at a hotel. At my resort, I feel like I’m at home, away from home. I’m not just there to sleep, its part of the overall enjoyment of the holiday. I’ve never regretted buying that first timeshare unit; I only regret that I paid too much for it.”
Once Elizabeth found out about the aftermarket vacation ownership, she was convinced that she found her calling. She now makes these aftermarket vacation ownerships available to anyone at a discount of at least 70% of the original price.
